About NALA CP Practice Test

NALA CP Practice Test is an independent study resource for the Certified Paralegal exam, made by a small test-prep team. It is not NALA, and NALA has not reviewed or approved anything on it. This page says what the site is built from and what it leaves out on purpose.

Who makes this site

A small team that builds exam-prep apps for professional certifications. The same people write the practice questions, check them against NALA's published documents and maintain the app the site points to. Nobody on the team is a NALA officer, a Certifying Board member or an item writer for the CP exam. What the team has is the public record — the 2026 CP Program Handbook, the blueprint, the fee and policy pages — and the habit of reading it closely.

One exam, one site: everything here is about the Certified Paralegal credential from the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA). Other credentials appear only where a candidate needs the comparison to choose — see NALA vs NFPA.

What the site gives you

Two things, both free and neither behind a sign-up. A practice set of 90 questions spread across all ten blueprint domains in weight order, each with the reasoning open under the card. And a study guide that turns the blueprint into a reading order, largest domains first, with the start page giving the route through both exams and how to get certified covering eligibility, attempts and renewal.

What this site is not

NALA CP Practice Test is not NALA and is not affiliated with it. NALA has not endorsed, reviewed or approved this site or the app it links to, and it will not: NALA's Certifying Board approves no study materials from anyone. CP® is NALA's registered certification mark and appears here only to name the exam. Eligibility, results and fees are NALA's to answer, on nala.org.

Where the facts come from

Every exam number on this site traces to a NALA document, and the dated ones carry their date. Where two NALA sources disagree — the Skills Exam result timeline is the known case — the site says so instead of picking the friendlier figure. Type nala.org yourself and open Certification — the primary source belongs in your own tabs during a three-month plan.

How the question bank is built

Every question is written for this site against the Effective-2024 blueprint and the subtopics NALA lists under each domain. None is a real, leaked or retired NALA item — NALA does not release exam questions, and this site does not pretend to have them. The set is weighted like the exam, Civil Litigation and United States Legal System with the most cards, and tagged in three levels — Recall, Applied, Analysis — so you can drill the easy layer first.

The reasoning under each card is study material, not legal authority: check any rule that matters to you against your course texts. A flagged question is rewritten or dropped in the next build; to flag one, use the contact page.

What the site deliberately does not publish

  • A passing score. NALA sets a criterion-referenced cut score by the Angoff method and does not publish it; candidates get a Pass or a Fail. Any “percentage to pass” printed elsewhere is a guess.
  • Salary figures. No “CPs earn X% more” line — NALA's primary documents do not contain one.
  • Skills Exam day-ranges. NALA publishes the four testing months (February, April, July, October); exact dates float and appear only on center schedules, so the site stops at the month.

Fees are printed only with their year, because they sit on dated forms and move. Pass rates are printed only with the year and the exam they describe. If a page here ever breaks one of those rules, that is an error — report it and it gets fixed.

Corrections and contact

A wrong fact, a broken question or a dead link: the contact page has the one address that reaches the team. The site keeps no accounts and runs no analytics; what it stores and what it does not is on the privacy page.
